Ogston and Tenant, soap manufacturers, were awarded £9OOO damages against the Glasgow Daily Record for defamation in connection with the recent Dailv Mail-Lever Bros, libels. An action against the associated newspapers and another against the Harmsworth association was settled, Ogston receiving £4500 and costs.
