He pleaded guilty and was remanded to the Supreme Court for sentence. He was al=o remanded to Palnierston North on a charge of false pretences. LIQUOR IX NO-LICENSE DISTRICTS. Oamaru, Tuesdav. Mr. T. Hutchison, S.M.. gave judgment in several cases involving breaches of the no-license, laws which occupied the attention of the Court the whole of yesterday and this morning. • W. .McGregor, carrier, was fined £.■"> and costs on a charge that lie received orders for liquor, and £1 without costs on five similar charges. A case against McGregor for forwarding an order to Speight and Co. and not giving the name and acturess oi the person for whom it was intended was dismissed. On two charges of receiving orders against George A'damson, carter, -was fined £2 and costs, and another charge was dismissed. Speight and Co. were fined Co 5s and costs for sending liquor to a no-license district without supplying the necessary notice to the Court. A. ease against McGregor for keeping liquor for sale was dismissed. The cases were of an unusual nature, and the Magistrate agreed that defendants McGregor and Adamson acted without any intention of committing n breach.
