- THE GORSE HALL MURDER. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. Received March fi, 5 p.m. 4, London, March 5. In connection with the murder of Mr. vJ. H. Starrs, a big building contractor, who was fatally stabbed on Ist Novem ber at his residence, Gorse Hall, Dukiiifleld, Cornelius Howard, a cousin of deceased, who was charged with the crime, proved an alibi and was acquitted. Saturday's report of the trial stated 'that Mrs. Storrs, while testifying to the incidents of the struggle, glanced round the court and exclaimed at Howard: the man!" [lt was announced last November that Howard had been identified by Mis? Lindley (Mr. Storrs' niece) and bv two •of the .servant maids as the mail who attacked Mr. Storrs. but that Mrs. Storrs failed to identify him.]
