LIQUOR AT RACE MEETINGS
THE NEW LICENSING REGULATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press' Association Wellington, Last Night. The conditions' for the issue of licenses under the Race Meetings Act of 1909 provi.de that every application for a license must be sent to the Minister of Internal Affairs. Before granting any application the Minister will refer it to the Stipendiary Magistrate in the district where the meetings are proposed to be held. The Minister will consider the Magistrate's report, and may then grant or refuse a "icens'e as he thinks fit. No license will be granted to any club for more than two race meetings of one day each in one year, or one meeting of two days. The Minister may impose on any licensee any other conditions he thinks fit in any particular case.
