V[r. jiSchoies, who had previously eonfe-ri'd with the proprietors, announced th-it the proprietors took up the position that their promise to take back employers referred only to tho members ,of .the Northern Colliery Employees' Federation, and would not be held to .include members of individual unions .not in the Federation. They did not intend to sacrifice the men who had come .to their aid during the strike to make .room for others.
Nothing had been definitely decided when the Court adjourned till to-mor-row. In the meantime it is understood an effort will be made to reach some solution.
