INSANE DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY. TWO GIRLS SHoTIN THE RIOTS. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright New York, February 21. Seven thousand tramwaymen at Philadelphia gave an hour's notice and struck, alleging that seven hundred of their comrades had been unfairly dismissed. Two hundred and ninety-seven cars were wrecked and many others burned. Women participated in the disturbance, with the result that two girls were shot during the progress of the riet. . The Riot Act was enforced, and the police were strengthened by 3000 extra men.
