The worst bush fire in the history !of Colac Hay raged on Saturday, a I strong westerly gale driving the Ilame.s towards the township, which for a time was in peril. A change, of wind saved the situation. As it was i two houses were burnt. The danger is not yet past, as another change of wind may bring tlie lire back on the township. Men and women have been fighting gamely against the conflagration.
