ACCUSED REMANDED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wangnnui. Friday. •Joseph Da vies and Martin Haines reappeared at the Magistrate's Court this morning in connection with the Rutland Hotel fire which is alleged to have oeen caused by them. Accused were remanded for eight days, bail being refused. The police stated that exhaustive inquiries had to be male throughout the dominion, and they uid not know if tlioy would he ready with, their case even in eight days.
