CADETS' SHOOTING. - THE CHAMPION-SHOT, By Telegraph.—Press' Association. < Auckland, Last Night. The Hon. G. Fowlds, Alinister for Education, this afternoon presented to Bugler Morgan, of the Onehunga Distrite Ii. 6 h S-'hooi Cadets, the ehampioe belt and god i-ui'al won by him as the best ca'.e; rift;' shot in the Dominioi. After congratulating Bugler Morgan on his fire pcrfom.ance, Mr. Fowlds wen; rn to ref\>r to the new features of the cadet work in the public schools. Tin; Government he said, had recognised the importance of teaching the youth of th,i Dominion the use of the rifle, and to that end had encouraged the establishment of miniature ranges on or near Hie school grounds. He hoped that 'before long all but the very small schools in the Dominion would have their own miniature ranges.
