ELECTRIC TRAMWAY SYSTEM.
To the Editor. I Sir, inferring once again to Mr. I Reese's letter, 1 vvouid like to state that Wolverhampton affords no guid- ' anee as' to the installation cost of a surface contact system, as the capital cost of the Lorain equipment is not within the public knowledge; and that it was very much greater than the capital amount standing in the Wolverhampton accounts is no secret. The alteration to the e:.. sting electric lines to make room :or t.:e bracket arms or span wiios am', iro.e'y wire en route of a tramway l.Uc i:i -New Plymouth would be a costly item; therefore a surface contact system such as the G.-B. might be cheaper to instal than Unit of an overhead trollev system.—T> am. etc., ELECTRIC TOWER.
