SENSATION IN COURT
.NEW ZEALANDER SHOOTS HIMSELF. "I DIE INNOCENT/' Received 18, 12.5 a.m. > Sydney, February 17. A man named David, against whom are several convictions, including one }n New Zealand, was charged with stealing at the Quarter Sessions. When the jury returned a verdict of guilty, David, exclaiming, "I am innocent; I die innocent," drew a revolver and shot himself in the side, creating a sensation In the Court. The Judge animadverted on the carelessness of officials in not searching, the man. The wound is not believed to be serious.
