The Daily Mail's Johannesburg correspondent says that Mr. Both*, has reached the parting of the- ways, and that he has the power to deal a deathblow at racialism. The Transvaal Leader declares that if Mr. Botha and Dr. Jameson stood on one platform they would win a tremendous verdict for' coalition. A STRONG APPEAL. Received 16, 9.45 p.m. Capetown, February 16. Mr. "Sauer, rh""nr speech at Ceres, said the little racialism still existing in South Africa, was dying out. He deprecated the apparent attempt to disunite South Africa, and appealed for a resolve to work as one people, and continue the spirit displayed at the National Convention. He added: "Do not because we can or cannot get a coalition Government make that an excuse to divide South Africa, and revert to o;d party lines." He said he was confident South Africans would not allow angry, hasty or indiscreet politicians and editors to spoil the country's great futuve.
