Charles Wellings 'was sentenced to five yearsMmprisonment at the Old Bailey for the bank frauds, cabled on December 16th. Clarke and Bevington each got three, years' penal servitude, and Millington eighteen months.
A forged order for a cheque-book was received at the Burlington Gardens branch of the Bank of England, and later a forged cheque for £ISOO was presented and cashed.
