JUDGMENT OX SATURDAY,

The enquiry into the stranding of the Kaipifi'a in Kangitoto Channel on January 14th was concluded this afternoon.
The sworn evidence of Captain Fors.diclc, at present master of th? Orari, taken at Christehnrcli, was presented to the Court, giving an account of the incident of llui Waimate touching tinbottom of the channel at what was iTevert to be the same spot where the Kaipara struck. Addressing the Court, "Mr. Cotter saM (the evidence showed that Auckland ha> ■ibor was always c«nsidered one of tße in the ivotld. It had contained a hidden danger in the nature of an uncharted shoal in thp fairway.
