The case Inspector of A wands ver-r/is Mrs. Franklin, shoep-fanner, a claim of €SOO for an alleged breach of the Wellington shearers' award, which was affected, as alleged, by the lucking out of certain sliearers on ivoveinber 4, 19()fl, was decided to-day. The case turned on the right of the men to decline to shear sheep that wore alleged to be wet. Mr. McCarthy, S.M., held that the sheep were dry, and that the pbject of the defendant's manager wat not to force the men to comply with an order inconsistent with the terms of employment. PJe was inereJy insisting on the men's obeying a reasonable command. Judgment was given accordingly with costs against plaintiff.
