THE RARAWA. The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga yesterday morning with 55 tons of general cargo, including 6 tons cement, !2 tons sugar, and 300 cases fruit. FROZEN PRODUCE.
The Morayshire sailed from the Waitara roadstead on Tuesday, having loaded from the lighters 3004 quarters beef, 39 pieces beef, and 2805 carcases lamb. The next vessel to load produce in the roadstead will be the Kaikoura, which is due on Monday. A large shipment of frozen meat was taken from New Zealand ports by the Waiwera, which loft on Tuesday "night for London. When she completed loading she had on board over 75,000 frozen
carcases mutton, 3300 quarters beef. 10,000 legs mutton, and a quantity of frozen sundries. In addition she carried a quantity of wool and general merchandise. STEAMERS IN COLLISION.
\ A cablegram was received last week by the Sydney Underwriters' and Salvage Association, Ltd., stating that the Federal steamer Kent, bound from Svrlney to London, had put into Port Said, after having been in collision with an unknown vessel. Temporary repairs were sufficient to enabie her to proceed on her voyage. A JUNK ASHORE.
Lloyd's agent at Sourabaya cables that the Whang Ho had been passed on the south side of Sumatra, ashore and full of water, no persons being visible on board. This vessel (a Chinese junk) provoked much curiosity. She leit Ban Francisoo on January 6, 1908, fitted as an exhibition of American goods, with the object of visiting various ports. She was heard of at Thursday Island, Torres Straits, about eight mcjnths ago, and was afterwards reported to have been driven towards the coast of Java. The next news was that she had "sailed from Sourabaya on Aug-
ust 6 for Port Natal and Galveston (United States). Now. four months ai- . terwards, she is found abandoned nctir l her port of departure. The F.IT.S. steamer Ayrshire, which was damaged in a collision soon after leaving Liverpool last month' for Australia. is expected to he ready for service again bv March 25. Another old boat of the N.D.L. (the Bayern. hitherto employed in the Med-iterranean-Levant service) has been sold to itaiv to be Broken up.
