The board replied that no evidence was taken on oath on the first day-, that the president did not stop accused from callhim turther evidence, but pointed out tint it was not concerned with the truth or otherwise of the charges aaainst lie Chief of General Staff. The SolicitorGeneral expressed the opinion that the evidence was sufficient to justify the decision as a matter of law. In conclusion, Captain Knyvett was truilty of insubordination wi'thin the meaning of section 54 oT ili'e Defence Act. The Attorney-General coniirined this, and the Cabinet had decided that it had no recommendation to make to the Governor, meaning that the original decision is adhered to.
