At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce tin's evening strong exception was taken to the present railway time-table between Wellington, Wanganui andX\>w Plymouth. A resolution expressing a protest was carried. It was also 'lecided to hold a public meeting to discuss this and'other unsatisfactory matters. The question of railway freight rates was discussed, and it was resolvi.d to bring the matter under the notice .~f the Minister of Railways with a view 10 the rates being framed on a more equitfihle hasis.
