It urgently appeals to all Liberals for service and sacrifice, and Announces that it is co-operating with the Free Trade Union. Free trade, the, paper continues, has emerged triumphant from the election, but if it is to bo successfully defended there must be no slackening, but rather an increasing intensity of the Liberal ■propaganda. The Liberals won on the whole, but in some parts of the country there has been a set back. What is wanted is free trade scouts in every -part of the country. The Daily News has started a GladStone League for the propagation of free trade and land reform.
