HEWITT'S PICTURES. A eilange of programme >vas put at tßc Theatre Royal last night by •Hewitt's Pictures, which were well •patronised. Amongst the best of the', lilms was " The Last Episode in the Life of Mozart." The picture opens-.' with ITouart and his pupil. A message from tiic unknown lady who gave orders for a requiem mass implores the noble .Mozart, to hasten. Death approaches* •While • 'Jtfozart is sitting in his chair his pupil plays' the noble Mozart's famous, pieces. While he is doing so Mozart '.sees vi'si'ons. While the film was being shown ATr. IT. Spencer Salt contributed' iii artistic style violin solos by the great composer, making the 'picture particularly raTfctic. A Royal Marriage- m India" is a -beautifully colored picture of very high quality, showing the marriage of the Maharajah of Tagoris, themarriage procession, and the riewlv'wedded couple at the dance gn : en to celebrate the occasion. "Rope Manufacturing" is a very fine industrial' picture. showing the unloading of the lienip, 'weaving by machinery, Bengaline women operating the machines, combing, skinliiag 1 , and interealing stages, until a 20-inch cable produced. " The 'Duke's Jester, or a Fool's Revenge" is' a study of a high order, and other pictures of interest are " The Perfumery Industry," " Conchita, .the Spanish Belle," "Limestone Quarries," •• The Victim," <: \Then Jack Conies Homo." Those of a humorous character are "How i« train a Ma-in-law," "'Plundering tin-- Police." "The Flood," "A Burglar in a Trunk," and "Eat your Soup." The-programme will be repeated this evening.
