Sir Wilfrid Laurier's critics severely comment on a speech he made at Toronto on sth January, when he said: "We are under the suzerainty of 'King Edward and bow the knee to him, !'hut°the King has no more rights over us than he is allowed by the Canadian Parliament. This is every true and I loyal Britisher's view of our relations towards the throne."
