TALLOW SALE. NEWTON KINO'S REPORT. On Tuesday, 18th instant, i held my usual four-weekly sale of above produce, the catalogue submitted comprising 118 bales and ISO sacks wool, 732 hides, 20015 sheepskins', 2011 calfskins, 20 casks, 18 tins, 1 box, and I sack taliow, besides the usual assortment of boras, hair, tails, bones, etc. Wool: This came.forward in quantities fully u.p to anticipations, and met a very buoyant market. Consequent oil the rise in the Antwerp sales and expected rise in the London market (which has since been confirmed) prices were exceptionally good. Compared with last sale they advanced to M-d per lb, and in the ease of liner sorts to %d .per pound. My best price for bale lots was O'/jd, and for sacks 9%d. The ruling values for medium fleece hale lots was 8d to S'/od, clips of 13. 8, 7, and 0 bales and numerous others being sold at these figures, and ot the total catalogue of 118 .bales submitted only 8 bales were unsold, which is a very good indication alike of both growers and buyers' confidence in this market. Only a few bales of lambs' wool came forward, and it met with keen competition. Sheepskins: Very few full wools now offering. In sympathy with wool thes ; . advanced %d par lb for dry and up to Gd each for salted. Hides: On a ipar with last sale, with the exception of ox, which advanced from •! i," per lb. Taliow: Th ; s met with keen competition, prices, indeed, being very high, the market advancing 15s J per ton. Calfskins: Not so many now oU'ering; prices '/ a d to '/ 4 d per II) lower.
