ENORMOUS DAMAGE DONE. TRAMWAY SERV ICE INTERRUPTED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Paris, January 23. Several streets in Paris are Hooded The residents along the quays are usin;. boats. The inundation of the powei stations caused a partial interruption o the metropolitan and east Parisian tram way services. Floods in the Rhone Aube, Loire, anil Meuse districts die enormous' damage. HEAVY FLOODS CONTINUE. UNDERGROUND RAILWAYS FLOODED. PARISIANS ALARM ED. Received January 24, 9.50 p.m. Paris, January 24. The Seine is twelve feet above normal and continues to rise. Snow and heav\ rains prevail. The Parisians are alarmed over tin flooding of the underground railways. Three lines have ceased running owing to sections being submerged. There i? a danger that the river will reach the level o'f the s'ewers. The bear-pit at the Zoological Gardens is flooded, while many of the streets leading to the Seine :yc submerged. Parliament has been asked to vote £SO,OOO for the relief of the victims. The Rhone has risen IS feet. Disasters are reported from many ol the provincial districts.
