OF CADETS,

Field-Marshal Lord Kitchener will arrive in New Zealand on Thursday, February 17th, and will, inter alia, inspect •the junior cadets (late public school cadets), which are now included in the defence scheme nf the Dominion. The junior cadets will mobilise as follows for inspection: —Duncdin (exact time ami place not arranged) outlying units on Tuesday, February 15th; city and suburban units Wednesday, February Kith; Christchurch (exact time and place later), outlying units on Monday. February 21st; city and suburban units on Tuesday, February 22nd. Wellington (at Hutt, Park), outlyin? units Wednesday, February 23rd; city and suburban units Thursday 24th. Auckland (exact limp and place later), outlying units Saturday, February 2(sth: r-ity and suburban units, February 28tli. The orders reler only to those unit>that can V transported by railways ir on harbor Ferry steamers. Free railway passes will b e issued. Officers commanding battalions will make all necessary train arrangements for their corps, and are urged to endeavor to get a- many cadets wno have ceased to attend school as possible to turn out on this occasion. Camps or quarters will be provided for the cadets from the our'yincr districts of cacti centre: also freo rations during the period the cadets are in camp.
