Won easily by four or five lengths. Mokau had a lead to the bend, where Clifton caught them and gradually drew away. Champion Whaleboat Race.—Clifton R.C. (P. Jones stroke, P. Clare, F. Richards, F. Clare, D. George) I; Mokau R.C. (L. Jones stroke. W. Love ridge, N. Clifton, D. Anscll, F. Ratten bury) 2. Won by about five lengths.

Flying Whalebo.it Race.—Clifton R.C. (P. Jones stroke, P. Clare, F. Richards, F. Clare, I). George) I; Mokau R.C. (L. Jones stroke, W. Loveridge, X. Clifton, D. Ansell, F, Rattenbury 2). The best race of the day. Clifton went off with the lead, but coming to the bend Mokau spurted and gave Clifton a shaking up, but could not obtain the advantage.
