The reason for tiiS refusal was that the Board intpndcti?* to hold two displays of fireworks almost immediately in aid of the funds of the Hoard. The members of the Board were unanimous in passing this resolution, as it would probably seriously affect the Board's receipts. The Chairman slated that the total indebtedness of the Board, including bank overdraft, was Cl!)2. Accounts amounting to £B4 were passed for payment, bringing the Board's overdraft up to til 111.
