The executive of the Taranaki t «!»• (lonian and Athletic Association to-day discussed the question of the control o! cycling events at sports gatherings, and resolved that if the New Zealand League of Wheelmen grants a permit to the Wanganui Society's sports it. will be u recommendation from the Taranaki Centre that all negotiations for a reciprocal agreement between the New Zealand Athletic Union and the League of Wheelmen be cancelled, and that owing to the lack of Government of cycling in many parts of New Zealand by the League the Union should take over the control of cycling.

The meeting also decided to take prompt and strong in conjunction with the Feilding Centre, to prevent Taranaki runners competing at the Wanganui Society's unregistered meeting on Saturday next- A notification to " peds" will be found elsewhere in this issue.
