A COMPREHENSIVE STATE SCHEME By Cable.—Press "association.—Copyright Melbourne, Thursday, The Wireless Conference report is published. lit recommends high-power stations for Sydney, Doubtless Bay, and Suva, and medium-power stations on the Solomons, New Hebrides, and Ocean Island, the Commonwealth and New Zealand to bear the- expense! of their own installations, the cost of the other stations to be borne by the Imperial and Commonwealth Governments, and New Zealand contributing one-sixth to the Suva station. The Pacific Radio Company's proposal was not adopted. The system is to be under State control. It is estimated that the Pacific Cable Company will receive £1126 annually through the wire* less feeders.
