A TROTTING ENQUIRY. Christchurch, Last Night. The stewards of the Plumpton Pa'k Trotting Club concluded an enquiry this evening into the running of Wallace M„ the winner of the Ladies' Bracelet yesterday. out arter consideration decided not to alter the judge's plaeings.
THE STRATFORD MEETING. The Stratford Racing Club has made considerable improvements on the eouree since the last meeting. The public luncheon room has been considerably enlarged, and a new luncheon room for the stewards has been erected, as well as a new publican's "booth at the back of the stand. Another improvement that adds verv considerably to the appearance of the property is the clearing of thp inside of the course, where there has h'therto been an unsightly coll°ction of logs and stumps. This area has been toughed and sown down. Then their is a new rail erected up the stra ; -.»H. instead of the old post and wire fence. Several other minor improvements have been effected for the convenience of the p.ublic, who will doubtless show their appreciation of tbi «i the club's meeting on Saturday and Moii'lav next. A special train will leao for Stratford on Xew Year's Day at 9.35 a.m.
