The deceased was a graduate of Glasgow University, where she was • student of Professor Rankin Crown, now of Victoria College. Mrs. Ficken *as very popular among the students of Victoria College, where her husband if Professor of Mathematics. She entered ■warm-heartedly into the students' work, and "wae on the committee of management of the Women's Student*' Ilostul.
