LONDON MARKETS. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright London, December If. Rabbits—There is a fair trade in New Zealand rabbits. Largo ones are quoted at IBs Od to 17s, and extra large 18s. Wheal—Twelve thousand quarters of Australian January-February wheat sold at 39s IVJd, fourteen thousand Adelaide old or new crop December sold rt 40s. Hemp is dull, January-March being quoted at £2B. Copra—There Ig a fair demand for South Sea in bags. Silver, 24 5-lfld. Antimony, £B. Copper—On 9pot, £59 8s 9d; electrolytic, £Ol 15s. ' Tin—On spot, £l4B 12s Od; three months £l3O Ins. Shares—Waihi Junction shares: finyers 3os, sellers 37s Od. mCiH COMMISSIONERS ISEPORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The Industries anil Commerce Department is in receipt of the following cable from the High Commissioner, dated Loudon, IHth inst.:— There i»' better demand for mutton, and the market is now firmer on account of small shipments being expected from Argentina, and owing to the coal strike in Australia. Rest quality Canterbury is in small supply, and the price is 3%d to 4'/ a d, according to quality. North Island averages 3%d. The lamb market is depressed. Quantities of stale lambs arc being placid on the market at low prices. Australian and River Plate new season's lambs are freelv. offered at average prices of 3 a / 4 d to 4'M.d to 3'/nil to 4'/„d respectively, according to quality. Last week's quotations for New Zealand lamb were —Canterbury 3%d, other Now Zealand brands 3%d. The beef market is 'dull, and supplies of River Plate beef arc heavy. The average price of hindquarters of New Zealond beef is 3%d; forcquartcrs 2%d. The butter market is steady, with a good demand. The market for New Zealand butter is demoralised and in an unsatisfactory condition. Danish fod-der-fed butter is firmly held, and prices for it have advanced. Since last telegraphing, New Zealand butter, which is of excellent quality, is being pushed for sale by weak holders, and prices have declined. There is no concentration of New Zealand interests. Shipments of butter and cheese per Tainui arrived in excellent condition.' The average price of choicest New Zealnid butter is 110s, Australian 10"8s, Danish 1275.

The tamp market is very quiet. New Zealand hemp, good fair grade on spot, £2B per ton; fair grade £27; Manila fai r current £27; January-March ship-' ments New Zealand good fair £27 10a; fair £2O; Manila £2O. The output of Manila for the week was 10,000 bales.
There is no change in the market for wheat and oats (last quotations were: N.Z. short-berried wheat 395, long-ber-ried 30s Od, sparrowbill oats 19s 9d, Danish oats 17s).
The bean market is firm owing to reduced supplies. The price of New Zealand beans, f.a.q., new crop, per 504 Vbs, is 40s.
The pea market is firm, with a hardening tendency. There is a general and active demand for New Zealand pari, ridse peas at 55s per 5041b5. The hop market remains firm (last .quotations: New Zealand hops 115s. United Slates 140s, European 150s). The wool market is firm, especially for medium and coarse crossbreds. Current Bradford quotations for tops are: thirty-sixes low crossbreds 13y 4 d, forties lqw crossbreds 14d, forty-fours mo(wum crossbreds 15% d, fifties halfbreds 20d, fifty-sixes quarterbreds 22% d, six-i ties merinos 26</ 2 d.
