NATIONAL PARK BOARD.

The quarterly meeting of the Egmont ■National Park Board \va?» held at the Dawson's Falls Hoiim; oh Wednesday. [Present—Messrs. F. W. Wilkie {in the ohair), W. A, Collis, 0. Goodson, J. 11. Mill, G. Gangster, and K. Dingle. Apologies were received from Messrs. Simpson and U. A. Marchant. It was decided to guarantee the cost of ihe telephone from Ma-hoc to the Dawson l«'allf» House.

The -Employers' Association wrote asking for a lease of two acres on the side of the mouutaiirfor building purposes,— The matter was referred to a subcommittee, consisting of Messrs. C'ollis and liill, who will report at a future meeting.

The Tourist Department wrote asking for the board's' opinion as to whether representation from Hawera should be continued, seeing that no portion of the park was now situated in the ITawera county—The matter was referred to a sub-committee for a report. 1 Messrs. CI. Sangster. \V. P, Kirkwood, and S. Ward wen; appointed to act as the East House Committee, and Mr. C. (Joodson was added to the South House.
