MATCH AT CHEISTCHURCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christcluirch, Last Night. . _ The match for the Heathcote-Wil-liams challenge shield, between Auckland Grammar School and Christchurch Bo ,-a' High School, was commenced to-da>. The scores to date are: Auckland (two innings) 276 (R. bomerville 125, F. Sutherland 55); Boys' xligk School 55 for four wickets.
WELLINGTON v. WAXGANUI COLLEGE. Wellington, 'Last Night. The jiunual cricket match, Wellington CoTiegc versus \Vanganui Collegiate School, began to-day. The visitors, batting first, were all disposed of for 91 (Price 31). Findlay took live wickets f»r 10 runs, Stainton three for 2 and Childs two for 4. Wellington's first innings yielded 320 (Stainton 0!), Beard 30, Castle 53, Childs 61). In their -ccond innings the visitors had lost thrjc wickets for 5 runs when stuinp6 w;re I drawn for the day.
WANDERERS v. ROVERS.
Wanderers and Rovers met on t!'e : Recreation Grounds yesterday afternoon, i A misty rain fell during the greater part i of the afternoon, and made the wicket in the batsmen's favor. Wanderers went , in first, and put up 187 in a couple of hours, Gfeatbach making the fine score of 116 not out. His was a very fine batting display, every hit a splendid drive. He hit nineteen fours and two sixes, and gave only two very difficult chances, one at 87, when Arden missed him, and one when he was hitting his century, wnen Eliot just failed to hold a very difficult catch. His innings was considered to be the finest batting display ever seen on a Taranaki ground. Scores were as follow: WANDERERS.
