The Christchurch Racing Club's summer meeting was concluded to-day at Plumpton in sweltering, hot weather, The totalisator investments were £4228 10s, malting £7070 for the meeting, an increase of £746 10s. Fourteen booknukers were licensed at 15 guineas each While contesting the Spreydon Ilaek Handicap, Rocky Knob broke a fetlock and was destroyed. Results:— Kindergarten Handicap, of 80 sovs. (tor two-year-olds), five furlongs—Fireglow Martine 2, Susa 3. Also startedTrue Knight, Kora, Frivolliti and Little Simon. Won by a length. Time, lmin 3 4-osec
Midland Welter Handicap, of 70 sovs seven furlongs-Boutade 1, De Witte 2'! Zetland 3. Also started: Gold Braid and Loyola. Won by a length. Time lmin 29 3-ssec.
I Anniversary Handicap, of 200 sovs nine furlongs-Wet Day 1, Passion 2,' Ukitene 3. Also started: Ingoda, Field Gun, Rose Noble, White Cockade atid brand 81am. Won by a length and a quarter. Time, lmin 56eec. Spreydon Hack Handicap, of 70 sovs one mile—Genius 1, Glenfield 2, Montreal 3. Also started: Obligate, Sant Kosaleer, Sapience and Rock Knob. Won easily by fonr lengths. Time, Imm 43 3-ssec.
Templeton Handicap Trot, of 70 sovs one mile—Hamlin 1, Roseberry 2, Inada 3. Also started: Verax 1, Florin 2 Prince Warbeck, Belroy, Ticket W;M Wave and Ruby S. Won bv a length and a-half. Time, 2min 22 2-ssec. Electric Handicap, of 100 sovs five furlongs-Silkweb 1, Federal 2, Ilarita 3 Also started: Rock Ferry and The Seer Won by a length. Time, lmin 2 3-ssec Sockburn Plate, of 50 sovs., five furlongs—Equivocate 1, Musterer 2. The Seer was left at the post, and took no part in the race. Obligate won by half a length, but his rider failed to draw weight on returning to s«le. Time I lmin 17sec.
Farewell Handicap, of 80 sovs., one mile—Monkey Puzzle 1, Zetland 2. The only starters. Won bv a length and a half.— Time, lmin 4 3-ssec.
