Wheat—Two Australian cargoes sold at 38s 3d and two others at 38s 9d and 39s 7'/ 3 d respectively. Twenty-two thousand quarters of December-January shipment and 14,00U of Jamiary-Febniaiv fetched 38s 4'/ 2 . and 10,000 Deceml.-r-January 38s i'/i'd, 0000 tons of .lanuu:-,v steamer shipment and also December parcels, 30s 3d.

INVERCARGILL WOOL SALE: By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. The first of the season's wool sales was held to-day. About 4600 bales w-ve catalogued. The wool was in better condition and sounder than in prcvi'Ms years. Competition was strong, and the catalogue was nearly all cleared. The highest price was 13'/ 4 d for halfbred ewe wool, and the prices all over showed 2d to 4d increase on last year's. Range, of prices: Halfbred, good lo super, 12d to 13y 4 d; medium to goo.l, lO'/id to ll%d; medium, Od to 10d; ■■.:. crossbred, gooTi to super, 11'/.d to 13d: medium to good, lO'/jd to "ll'/jd: inferior medium. »y 2 d to 10'/ 4 d; stro.ig crossbred, good to super, lOd to 11.1™ medium to good, !)d to 9%d; inferior medium, 7M>d to 7%d.
