PUKEKURA PARK BOARD.

The Board met on Monday evening, *- when there were present: Messrs. R. P Cock (chairman), F. P. Corkill, W. L. Newman, H. Ford, H. C. Hughes, F. Bcllringer, G. Tiscli, S. Percy-Smith, and the secretary. The chairman made a statement show- ~ ing the financial position of the Board, J the total indebtedness being about £l9O. ' Considerable discussion took place with reference to the question ot dealing with the boy who stole the swan's eggs in the park, and it was resolved that " the youth who stole the eggs on November 22nd be prosecuted, and that the J Board's solicitor lie instructed accordingly." It was decided that the attention c of picnic parties and others wishing tojl' have the use of any portion of the park | s be called to bye-law 8, exhibited in the J' grounds, which states that permission p must first be obtained from the Board. ■lt was resolved that in order toclieek larrikinism in the grounds the Hoard I empowers the secretary and curator, at their discretion, to enforce the bye-laws. The chairman was authorised to interview the Sports Ground Committee with reference to making the Liardet Street gate the only entrance to the j ground during entertainments or sports I ; in the evenings.
