OMATA. (From Our Own Correspondent). The bazaar in aid of the Church of England funds was opened yesterday afternoon in Uio Umata Hall, which \<as very prettily decorated for the occasi'.in. There was a fairly goon attendance of the public, which was greatly increased miring the evening. A largo marquee is erected outside the hall, in the interior of, which may lie found the cup which cheers but not inebriates so much appreciated on a warm afternoon like the present. This with a variety of good thhys too numerous to mention, is aiily presi Icd over In- Mcsdames Mevenberg acl C'leniow and Miss Glyiic. 'in the hall there are four stalls— (1) The fancy goods stall, presided over by .Mrs. IV.r----.,011 and the Misses llutler' and Croniptou. This stall looked very pretty, the articles offered for sale being espeoia'i'v nice. (2)] ETho plain goods stall, presided over by Alcsoanies Urompton and jleAllum. This stall looked very nice, the articles being extremely well made anl most ireful. (3) The produce stall, presided over by Misses E. and .1. (Ilynos. This stall looked particularly well, especially a bowl of very choice raws. I-.I The sweet stall, presided over by Mn. B. Iloneylield ami Aiiss McAllum. Needless to say, the young fry thought this stall the best of all and patronised it largely, as well as the bran tub. The ba/.aar is open again to-day, and is well worth a. visit from any who has not patronised it.
