PROTEST ACIAINS7 MINE DEPARTMENT'S ADMINISTRATION. By Telograph.—Press Association. Hokitika. Last Night. A public meeting to protest against the Covcrnmcnt's water-power resolution was held at Hokitika to-night. Strong resolutions were passed condemning the action of the Mines »• pnrtment in locking up the waste waters of the district against alluvial mining, on which Westland was to a large extent depending. One of the resolutions condemned the mis-state-ments and abusive attitude of the Hon. R.
