Wanganui, Monday. A young man named W. Uasler and a narrow escape from drowning while bathing in the river yesterday. He was an expert swimmer, having won many races in the Old Country, Heeler dived off a boat, and after being in the water half an hour was seized with cramp, and remembered nothing till he found himself in bed. A lad named Neilaoa, who was oathing with Hasler, -aw the latter sink-, after coming to the surface once or twice, and dived in after hiiu.
