AMUSEMENTS.

HEWITT'S I'ICTUIiKS. This week's programme of pictures, presented at the Theatre Royal for the first time last evening, is nothing behind the best put on to date. In fact, it is emsily one of the finest presented to local lovers of artistic cinematography. Tlvc staTr pfeturc is "La Toseft," a iilm full of interesting incident and magniffcently dressed. The audience was not slow in showing keen appreciation of the film. All the other subjects shown are brim full of interest, being varied to suit all tastes. The programme provides an excellent two and a-half hours' entertainment and is well worth 'join..' II long way to 6ce. Wo can with confidence recommend our readers to attend the theatre to-night, when tin; programme will be repeated.
