The New Plymouth horticultural show takes place oil Thursday. Entries closs with the secretary to-morrow night at 8 o'clock. The secretary will receive entries at Mr. Rowe's seed store. Morey and Son draw special attention to their present stocK of all-linen table damasks. See advertisement. Messrs Dimock and Co. notify that for the present they are not buyers of choppers or porkers, and only baconers will be received. Athletes are reminded that nominations for the 220 and 880 yards handicaps to be run in the Recreation Grounds on Thursday evening, nnder the auspices' of the New Plymouth Amateur Athletic Society, close with the secretary this evening. The final practice for the member* of the orchestra kindly assisting the Choral Society will be held in the Queenstreet Schoolroom on Tuesday evening.
