LIVE STOCK MARKET. VICKERS AND STEVE.NS' REPORT. There was a fair yarding of cattle in our Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Bidding was slightly better than last sale, and nearly everything was sold as follows: —Yearling to 15-montlis £1 lfts to £2 Is, 15 to 18-months S3 3s to £2 Bs, 18-montha grade Jersey hellers £2 14s (id, store cows £2 to £3 fis, springers £3 10s to £5 ss, bulls £2 5s to £4. At Messrs. Small and Murdoch's sale at Egmont Village on Tuesday there was a good attendance, and tiic cows were well competed for. Cows made from £3 2s Od to £7 las, chestnut gelding £2O 10s, .chestnut mare £9 os, and sundries at satisfactory prices.

ADDINUTOX. Ordinary entries of all classes of stock were penned at Addingtou yards on Wednesday. The yarding of fat cattle, numbering 230 head, was below, the average of recent markets, but the quality was' about equal to the usual standard. Steers realised £7 to £lO, heifers £5 15s to £B, and cows £5 to £8 7s (id. Best steer beel realised 21s to 235, medium 18s to 20s fid, and cow beef 17s Gd per 1001b. In veal calves there was a fair entry, principally of puny animals, and average demand, prices ranging from 4s (id to £.2, according to age, quality, a,id condition. The yarding of fat lambs totalled 1320, compared with SGU last week. The best class realised 12s to 14s (d, and lighter Ss (id to lis Gd. The yarding of store sheep was larger than at the previous sale, and included some lines of very nice quality. Ewe?, woolly and mostly uged, with lambs, made 7s lOd to 9s (id; shorn ewes with lambs, 19s 2d, all counted: 4 and litooth owes, shorn, 9s 3d to Us Id; ewes in wool, with lambs, 10s Gd to 13s Id; shorn crossbred ewes Bs, shorn hall bred ewes 13s 9d; ewe hoggets in woo], with lambs', 10s fid; 2-tooth wethers, shorn, Us 7d to 10s lOd; 4 and fi-tooth wethers, 13s 8d to 14s 2d; 4-tooth wethers, very forward, 13s 3d to 14s 2d; cull shorn J wethers, Ss 4d, wether hogegts 10s oil. Fat pigs were in smaller supply than for some weeks, and prices were on a par with those ruling for some weeks. Choppers' made to ;£3 10s, heavy bacon ers 4Gs to 50s, and lighter 38s to 45s — equal to 4d to 4>/jd per lb; heavy porkers made 34s to 375, and lighter 30s to 33s—equivalent to 4!/ 3 d to 4%d per lb. I The demand for stores, of which there was a medium entry, showed an improvement, especially for the smaller sorts. Medium stores made 22s to 30s, and smaller 18s to 20s; small weaners made rM (id, and good sorts to 15s 6d.

There was a rather larger yarding of fat sheep than last week, tho bulk being good to prime wethers and ewes. The range of prices was:—Woolly wethers 10s 9d, woolly hoggets' 17s 10d, woolly ewes 15s to 18s 3d, prime shorn wethers 10s to lGs Gd, lighter 13s to lis Gd, prime shorn ewes 12s Gd to 14s 7d, others 8s to 12s, shorn hoggets 12s Gd. A small yarding of store cattle was made up principally of 15 to 18-months sorts, and there was a good demand. Yearlings made SGs, 15 to 18-months 42s to 52s Gd, 2-year steers £4 la to £4 13s, 3-ycar steers £0 15s, 2'/ s -year steers £4 17s Gd, aud dry cows 20s' to £4 9s; dairy cows made £3 to £0 15s.

DUNEDIN. The following is the wockly report of the Burnside stock market:— Fat Cattle: 140 yarded. The quality was only medium, with odd pens of prime bullocks. Owing to the smi'l entry prices showed an advance of from 5s to 10s per head. Best bullocks £0 IUS to £.lO 10s, extra heavy £ll 7s 6U to £l2, good £8 to £9, light £0 10s to £7 Ms; best cows and heifers £7 to £B, medium to good £5 10s to £6 10s, light and inferior £3 15s to £4 15s. Sheep: 2438 yarded—a medium yarding of fair quality, the greater proportion being shorn. Prices were much the same as those ruling last week. Best woolly wethers 21s to 22s Od, extra to 25s Od, medium 18s' Od to 20s, inferior 16s to 17s; best shorn wethers 15s to 16s, extra to 17s 3d, medium 13s to 14s, inferior 12s to IBs 6d; best woolly ewes to 225, medium 17s to 18s, shorn ewes 12S to 13s, medium to 9s Od. Lambs: 448 yarded—a fair yarding. Prices showed a slight advance as compared with those of last week, but a slight easing-off was noticeable towards the end of the sale. Best up to lGs Oil, medium to 13s, inferior to 10s. A few of extra quality sold up to 17s Od. Pigs: There was a large yarding, ISO being forward. The quality, especially of porkers and baconers, was extra good, j but owing to the large number coining I forward and the weather being too | warm for curing, heavy pigs showed a drop of 10s to 15s on late rates. Suckers 16s to 19s, stores 23s to 30s, porkers 33s to 3Ss, light baconers 43s to 404. heavy 48s to 535.
