EMPLOYERS' OBJECTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. At a meeting of the South Canterbury Employers' Association last night, the amended Shops and Offices Act was discussed, and the following motion passed: —That this Association protests strongly against the Government introducing an Act to over-ride any award of the Arbitration Court, as such action is likely to upset the whole trend of labor legislation which has so far been generally approved of by both employers and employees.
