THE LONDON MARKET. By Cable.—rress Association,—Copyright Received November 24, 11 <p.m. London, November H. Tho wool sales opened .briskly, li!)j8 bales being ottered. There was a poor selection. The wool included 1002 bales from New Zealand. There was a very large attendance of buyers, and strong general competition. Good merino was firm and unchanged. Faulties declined. Fine eross-breds were well niaintaiued, being occasionally slightly in sellers' favor.

A HEALTHY OUTLOOK. riy Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Might. The first sale of the present season in Auckland was opened today. The market opened briskly in sympathy with the advances at London, Sydney, Napier, Wellington, and Christchurca sales, and growers will have every reason to feel well satisfied at the general run ol prices. Finer wools advanced l'/ 2 d to 2'/ = d, as compared with the corresponding sale of last season, and coarser anil inferior wools l'/ 4 d to l'/ 3 d. Top prices were obtained by W. Duder, of Maraetai, 14'/ s d for fourteen bales of ftie. crossbred; and bv James Kennedy, of Putiki, 14'/ s d for halfbreds. Eight 'bales of halfbred wool submitted by J. M. I Day, of Waihcke, were sold at Is 2'/ 4 d, and J. Kennedy got Is 2d for medium j crossbreds. Following were the average prices realised:— Hnlfbrcd merinos, ll</ 2 d to 14Vsd; superfine crossbred, 12d \a 14'/ s d; medium crossbreds. O'/.d to 14d; coarse crossbreds, to B'/d; bellies and pieces, 4>/..<l to O'/.d.
