RIFLE SHOOTING.

GUARDS v. RIFLE CLUBS. A match of considerable interest was fired on Saturday between a combined team from Okato, Warca and Kaitakc rifle clubs and the Guards. Considering the day, the shooting was not of a very high order, but nevertheless the match never lacked interest owing to the scores being practically the same at each range. The combined team lead by a few points at the 200 and 500 yards ranges, and the Guards finished seven points ahead at the 600 yds. The conntry team came in stronger fovcr> than was expected and to balance i;i the teams two of their number fired fur the volunters. The conditions were seven shots each at 200, 500 and 000 yardi.
