THE POLICE COMMISSION.
A PLEA FOR THE COMMISSIONERS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday. A deputation of Wellington citizens waited upon the Minister tor Justice to-day and asked that the reply of Mr. Dinnie, Commissioner of Police, to the report of the Royal Commission on the administration of the police force should lie laid before Parliament. The deputelion urged that full justice should be done to Mr. Dinnie in regard to allowing him an ample opportunity to give his own explanation in face of the aspersions cast upon liia administration by Mr. Bishop, S.M. Dr. Findlay, AttorneyOeneral. in reply, said Cahinet had not yet decided anything in regard to tfie matter, lint when the position was being considered the fullest measure of fairness would be given to Mr. Dinnie. An opportunity, he said, would be given for the full publication of Mr. Dinnie'a reply and for securing fair play.
