Mr. John Foster Fraser left Auckland by the s.s. Maheno on Monday last for Sydney, en route to England. Mr. -T. I'aton, chairman uf the New Plymouth Fir,. Hoard, will be the board's delegate at the conference of Fire Boards to be held in Wellington next Thursday.
Sir Francis Price, who recently married a daughter of Sir William Russell, having disposed of his property in Hawke's Bay, intends leaving fo r England shortly. The Putorino station consists of 32,000 acres native lease, and was sold as a going concern, including HOOO sheep and 250 head of cattle, to Mr..Patrick Patullo, of Dunedln.
