CANTERBURY SHOW. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ohristchurch, Last Night. For " people's day" of the Canterbury A. and P. Association's metropolitan show, the weather was line and warm, and as a result there was a very large attendance, which is estimated to have I exceeded that of last year, when a record of 35,000 was put up. The Premier visited the show grounds during the afternoon and inspected the exhibits under the guidance of the president (Mr. A. Oiamberlain). The taking,' to-day at the gates totalled £l'2S!> lis od, which does not include the visitors who went to the show by rail. For the three days the estimated' takings I with the exception of the ahove-iueiitiirtH'cl) was Cl'i-V), a<s compared with the. actual takings last year of £IO7O.
