Everston, the music-hall hypnotist, frantically assured the doctors who made a post mortem examination of Simpson, whom he threw into a cataleptic trance, that the latter was still in the trance. He was permitted to go to the mortuary with a number of hypnotists and allowed to continue experiments for several hours. Finally a doc. tor ordered the hypnotist away. The post mortem examination showed rupture of the aorta, due to Everston jumping on deceased's chest.
