THE STEINBEIL CASE. AN IMPETUOUS YOUTH. By Cable.—Press Association. —Copynghi Paris, November 5. At the trial of Madame Steinheil, a sensation was caused by a youth coming forward mid confessing that lie participated in the" murder of Madame Stem heil's husband and her stepmother in May last year. When the Judg;' examined the youth's story he found it full of inconsistencies. The youth ultimately declared that he believed Madam'' Steinheil innocent and that he had chivalrously concocted the confession to save her life. VIOLENT SCENES. REMARKABLE OUTBURSTS OF HYSTERIA. Received Nov. 8. 1.10 a.m. Paris, November 7, There were manv violent scenes dnrini' tht Steinheil trial, through the Judge browbeating the prisoner as though lie wire the prosecutor. There was a constant battle between him and the prisoner, whose dramatic hysteria was remarkable, even for France.
